1936 The development of a nine-hole course on the “Ohio Farm” land, not to exceed $2,000, was approved by the Board of Directors.
1937 The course was completed and the dedication of the Westfield Country Club was held on August 23, 1937.
1960 The old #4 green, the “Tilted Terror” was completely rebuilt.
1970s Added an Olympic-size swimming pool, three lighted tennis courts, and a golf cart building.
1975 An additional 18-hole golf course, the North Course, opened for play in the summer.
1980s Expansion and remodeling of the “Old Clubhouse” into a new “Entertainment Center” with doubled floor space, added full service kitchen, patio overlooking #3 green and cook out facilities.
1997 A major renovation to the clubhouse was undertaken with expansion and upgrade of the grille room, locker rooms and Golf Shop. Plus, the addition of a new practice facility with a 30,000 square foot tee, target greens, short game area and practice bunker.
2001 Westfield Country Club hosted its first Junior PGA Championship and continued to host it through 2007. Over the years, Westfield Country Club has played host to the Ohio Open, Junior PGA events and the Insurance Youth Golf Classic.
2016 Started a 3-year golf course master plan renovation being completed by Hurdzan Golf. Their portfolio of courses spans over 6 decades, 5 continents, 400 projects, 3 grand slam titles and 1 US Open – Erin Hills.
2019 Opening of the South Course, a parkland style course featuring green landscapes with tree-lined fairways and beautiful water features.
2020 Opening of the North Course, a links style course featuring firmer turf conditions, open terrain, links style bunkering and the distinct look of fescue in the secondary rough.
2021 Golf Digest rated the North Course Third Place for Best Transformation.
